A working group on "Access to physical activity and sports information" was nominated by the Ministry and invited members for a working group on physical activity and access to information. This working group was used as a REPOPA Platform to get across research evidence into policy making in health enhancing physical activity. The Ministry provided part of THL self-financing and co-financing funding of REPOPA project by 50 000 € (2012-2013).
In addition for the regular working group meetings and discussions the process included the following activities:

(1) Interviews with selected experts and researchers within physical activity in Finland and one round table discussion for invited experts and researchers within adjunct project for the process (Project title: Physical activity, Information and Media, conducted by the University of Helsinki and Finnish Society of Sports Sciences);
(2) Hearings with relevant stakeholders for the work of the working group and invited presentations of predetermined topics (approximately 30 participants and working group members);
(3) Hearings on the Sport and Physical Activity Law based on research evidence.
