The REPOPA team attended the 8th Nordic Health Promotion Research Conference which was held in Jyväskylä, Finland between 20th- 22nd July 2016. The scope of the conference included a review the past twenty years of health promotion research and its development, paradigm shift of health in local and a focus on health promotion interventions.
At the conference, one workshop and three oral talks were presented at the conference. Arja R. Aro led the interactive workshop titled ‘Stewardship interventions in evidence-informed policy making: Potential pitfalls’. She also gave a talk on the REPOPA project as a whole titled ‘REPOPA interventions found fruitful ways to integrate research knowledge with physical activity policymaking’. Ahmed Syed and Razvan Chereches also presented REPOPA findings from WP4 tited ‘Indicators for evidence-informed policy making in health promotion- Delphi study results from Denmark and UK’ and WP6 titled ‘REPOPA as an umbrella platform for evidence-informed physical activity policy making’ respectively.
